Meet TTA Governing Board

Kari Klein: Mrs. Klein brings a diverse experience with her. Ms. Klein is currently the Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction at Buckeye Union High School District in Buckeye, AZ.  She started her career as a pre-kindergarten teacher in 1981. In 1993, she became a K-3 Lead Teacher at Pinon Elementary School in Pinon. Since then, Ms. Klein has had a variety of leadership roles as staff developer, acting principal for Pinon Middle School and as an Educational Consultant for Goals Inc. Kari earned her B.S. in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Northern Arizona University. She achieved a Masters of Education in Educational Leadership, Administration and Supervision, from Arizona State University.  Additionally, she holds both a Reading Specialist and English as a Second Language endorsement attained from the University of Phoenix.  Since 2002, she has been employed as the Assistant Superintendent at Buckeye Union High School District serving on many local and national committees.

Hitham Mohamed: Hitham Mohamed is a second-year medical student who brings with him an impressive amount of drive and determination, as well as a distinct and diverse perspective. He started advancing his education ahead of schedule when he was in middle school by skipping a grade. After that, he managed to achieve his high school diploma at the age of 14, and then proceeded to complete his bachelor’s degree at the age of 18 at Arizona State University. He is currently studying medicine in the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine at Midwestern University.

Badria Sulaiman : Mrs. Sulaiman has 22 years of experience working with students. She taught science to middle schooler and Physics to High school students in Egypt. She then came to the United States and worked as a Lab Technician at a community college for few years.

Mr. Sulaiman is working with Glendale District as newcomer teacher. Her experience as a newcomer teacher equipped her with skills and knowledge that can be utilized to serve TTA students. She is very active in her community and very helpful to refugee community. She is very passionate in helping others to become better at what they are good at. Mrs. Sulaiman always commit part of her time to serve her community.

Najat Benaoussar: Mrs. Benaoussar has accumulated 19 years of intensive experience working with students in diverse positions from a head start teacher to an academic assistant principal at a local high school. Her experience is diverse not only in her work as an educator but also in her educational background. Mrs. Benaoussar is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership in Education and Administration, has earned a Masters in secondary education, Bachelors in Physics, minored in Mathematics, and performed one year of research in the nuclear Chemistry field. Throughout her career, she has built an extensive list of contributions and achievements that have been the foundation of her success to date.
